Where to go out in Paris at night?
You have always dreamed of being able to visit Paris at night , to discover the best nocturnal attractions that the city of Love has to offer, you are in good luck, here we tell you everything! From a walk along the Seine to a romantic dinner or a night at the opera, here is your complete guide to things to do for the perfect evening in Paris…
Go out in paris
But first, an introduction to Paris at night… It’s not for nothing that the French capital is known as the City of Light ! And yes, although the French capital is named for its great contributions to the Age of Enlightenment, today, thanks to the many twinkling lights and the pleasures of the outdoors, the City of Light comes into its own.
Enjoy the sunset in Paris
Before strolling along the banks of the Seine, enjoying a romantic dinner or simply discovering Paris after dark, start your evening the right way by enjoying the sunset from one of the many beautiful places that the capital has to offer.
For example, the view from the Arc de Triomphe , the Parvis du Sacré-Coeur in Montmartre and the belvedere of the Tour Montparnasse all offer perfect perspectives over the city.
Enjoy an opera performance
Whether you prefer classical music, jazz or pop music, it is undeniable that Paris offers activities for all tastes. However, one of the most quintessentially French (and mostly unforgettable) things to do in Paris at night is to spend an evening at the opera .
Walk along the Seine
Of course, if you want to soak up the sights of Paris at night, just take a stroll along the Seine. Start on the bank opposite the Eiffel Tower . From there, traverse the city past the Louvre , the Conciergerie , and even Notre-Dame Cathedral , while soaking up the city and its history. If you want to live a truly magical experience, you can organize a picnic along the Seine at sunset. And if you don’t feel like walking at night, consider the Bateaux-Mouches which will offer you a romantic stroll on the Seine.
Take a cruise on the Seine
So if you prefer to enjoy another perspective of Paris, and the unmissable Seine, then you might consider booking a river cruise by Bateau-Mouche. After all, that’s how you can enjoy many of Paris’ most famous attractions, lit up with bright lights after dusk.
Several options are available, from the simple visit, through the guided tour, or the timeless dinner cruise.
Go to the cabaret
Le Moulin Rouge , which is located in Pigalle and has long been considered an icon of the city. It is still today, without a doubt, one of the most touristic attractions to do in Paris at night. In the collective imagination, it is unthinkable to come to Paris without watching a French Cancan show while sipping champagne.
For those who wish to experience a Parisian cabaret , know that the Tour Operators offer combined formulas: cabaret / Eiffel Tower, cabaret / dinner on the Seine… Of course the Moulin Rouge is not the only cabaret in Paris , the 6 most famous are: Moulin Rouge, Lido, Crazy Horse, Paradis Latin, Chez Michou, La Nouvelle Eve.
See the Eiffel Tower sparkle
There is perhaps nothing more cliché, or more enjoyable than seeing the Eiffel Tower light up for the first time. You will never forget this fraction of a second and it is a memory that will stay with you for a long time. One of my favorite places to view the Eiffel Tower at night is rue Saint-Domonique .
Enjoy a romantic dinner
Of course, France is not only known worldwide for its picturesque architecture, its fairytale castles and its breathtaking landscapes… France is also renowned for its world-famous cuisine , whose points forts are largely in Paris. Don’t forget that people here tend to dine quite late, with many restaurants only opening their doors after 7:30 p.m. It is therefore essential to go through the aperitif box!
Ascent of the Eiffel Tower or the Arc de Triomphe
The best place to enjoy the view of the city is not necessarily the top of the Eiffel Tower, but perhaps rather that of the Arc de Triomphe .
The same is true when dusk descends on the city and brilliant lights illuminate the most iconic locations. However, if this is your first time in Paris, you should still climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower at least once, if only to say you made it!
Both times I climbed to the top, I went at sunset to enjoy the best views in Paris!
